76 - which isn't bad considering I was never taught past Z=104 There were a few I missed that really hurt - one transition metal especially. Enjoyed that!

I got 58 when the time ran out. Also I didn't think the elements above 106 had been offically named because they hadn't been synthesised or collected in sufficient quantity yet.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

"You scored at the 63rd percentile" - so I guess I'm a bit rubbish. I used to have it stuck to my ceiling! 52, with 5 minutes to go but I wouldn't remember many more. The spelling was the worst part. I can't even spell Pottasium The middle groups were the hardest.

For some reason, reading that post made me think that you were doing something very rude to yourself! :etc:

plus the people named ones einstienium, curium etc and place named ones: scandium, europium, polonoium and krypton etc

Terrible, but then I didn't even do chemistry at GCSE.

At school for GCSEs and As the periodic table was forced upon us. I didn't enjoy it at first, but once I understood how it worked I became much more interested. The first thing that happened in Chemistry at uni was a test on the periodic table, and the majority of people had not even the basic grasp of it.

Hmm, 54/118. That's embarrassing seeing as I'm a chemist. Still, In my defence I haven't had to use the periodic table for years. It's not that important when most of your work is Chromatography based analysing organic molecules. Still, oh dear.
