My RAW images folder is currently 98GB by itself. I'm not sure online backup is in a place to suite my needs. Mark

Mark, before you buy, have a read of this thread. Probably worth checking that it ships with uk power supply and the eject lever issue has been fixed (i believe there are 2 versions). Didge

Uploading the full amount would take a long while, but how quickly is that growing? If it's less than a gig a week then on-line would still be viable. However, the cheapest way would be to buy your own storage device and put it on a friends computer. Perhaps you could make a reciprocal agreement and swap drives to get over the initial upload problem. The obvious advantage is that it insures your data against fire and theft. It takes some knowledge to set up, but it's not really that difficult if you know someone with the know how - and I'm pretty sure you do.

If it's doing any sort of RAID it probably won't work with only one drive in it. If you want to be able to add drives gradually you're probably looking more at something like a Drobo. They're not cheap though and even they need two drives to start off with. Jon

Just an update to let you know that I don't have any problems with the Voyager Q. I've used it with both 2.5" and 3.5" drives and neither one of them has, as yet, exhibited any sort of problem. The problem that some people appear to have had regarding the eject mechanism doesn't appear to hamper the usability of it. Thanks every one for contributing to the thread.
