Quote:
Every cancer patient in England will be offered free, one-to-one home care by specialist nurses if Labour wins the election, Gordon Brown is to pledge.

In a speech to the King's Fund think tank on Monday, the PM is expected to pledge access to home treatment for every cancer patient within five years.

Labour says this would save over £2.5bn a year by reducing hospital admissions.

And where are all these nurses coming from? The NHS will loose many now that they have to have a degree as a minimum basic requirement. Yes another election pledge which will not happen because of funding or some other excuse that will be pulled out of the hat just when needed.

+1

At this point, I think he can say pretty much anything and it won't matter. People's opinion of him has reached such a low point that most people simply don't believe a word he says. I don't honestly see how he can retrieve the situation now. I expect the next election to have the lowest turnout ever and I expect him to lose it handsomely.
