I've just opened up Steam on my Mac Pro and found an alert telling me that it has an update which takes away the gaming clients beta status.  The previous update was exactly one month ago.

The update mainly contains fixes for bugs (crashes, intermediate failing to recognise games have exited, navigational errors, and more), though interface improvements are also included (such as showing stats and launch options in the store for games you already own, and improved tooltips support) as well as extra installer support for upcoming games.  See full details here.

Having just installed the new version, it looks very much the same, though does feel speedier.  Let's hope it's a little more robust than the previous version.
