A 2009 Microsoft sales conference was ''rife'' with ''drunkenness and outrageous misbehaviour'', a former executive has claimed... Mr Negus alleges wild partying at the conference was driven by “unlimited quantities” of vodka and Jagermeister. One Microsoft director was so drunk he allegedly followed a female manager into the ladies restroom, while another was “so p***** he could not remember a thing”.

''The alcohol made freely available in unlimited quantities included neat vodka which could be drunk from an ice fountain, and a very strong German liquor called Jagermeister,'' the papers read.

Who would have guessed MS is the company that parties hard!!

Could have told you that myself :P

When I was there they put something something like £5000 behind a bar for 90 of us, and about 20 of those didn't drink, then there was the intern Christmas party that was put on inc hotel rooms and was something like £20k and had jelly shot slides made of ice.

My teams Christmas party was to Brighton though and was pretty much an all day bender starting on the train at 9am with fish and chips, a kangaroo burger for food and finishing about 6am the next morning :)

I think they're a close second to Munich Re, who famously generated headlines like "Munich Re Unit Says Company-Paid Prostitute Party Was "Killer Fun".

One of the costs of running a big business is the lavish parties.

It's probably not uncommon in big companies...I know that in the 'Golden Days' of Sun they would pack everyone on a top end train at Surrey that was packed of food and booze, drop them all off somewhere up North to get even more hammered, restocked the train and brought them all back....
