Picture the scene...the co-pilot freezes, the plane takes off and lands again 9 seconds later. After the plane lands, the co-pilot gets a message...."Windows has recovered from a serious error."

Mmmkay... So they pinpoint the co-pilots lack of action then say nobody can be blamed even though they just blamed the co-pilot... Riiiiighhtt...

That looked proper scary. But does anyone else think the 'froze' line is a bit if a lie and the co-pilot actually wanted to lift for a few seconds? Might be the only change he ever gets to 'fly' one of those!

If you read the story you'll see that both pilots are retired RAF who actually flew these planes. I saw this event posted somewhere else with comments from (supposedly knowlegable) people, I'm guessing ex fliers, who suggested that all might not be as it seems and said that the flaps appeared to be set for take off, not a controlled taxi down the runway for a photo-shoot.

If the copilot didn't respond to being told to throttle back, why didn't the pilot immediately do it himself? If neither of them was licensed to fly, surely they'd have planned some safety margin with the speed.
