If we are going to have a programming section ( which is fine by me ) can we call it Development as that avoids the issue if something is programming or scripting etc.

If they are writing the code using an open source tool or an open source language?

Will this be one category for all, or should there be a Mac Dev, Windows Dev, Linux Dev sections?

+1 I'd also add that the board probably won't be terribly terribly busy, so it won't be hard to keep track of things...

Isn't it classed as a board? Forums contain boards, boards contain threads? Or have I picked up the wrong stick somewhere?

How about boards for
Development ( All platforms script and programming ) Hardware ( PC’s, servers, routers etc ) Software ( PC, OS’s, Opensource, cross platform) Apple ( Hardware and Software )
I just don't see the need for a separate hardware and software for both PC's & Mac's and an open source board.
