Okay: I've got Seconds From Disaster between 7 & 8pm, Royal Navy Caribbean Patrol between 9 & 10pm. Now I just need something good to watch between 8 & 9pm (on the 15 channels I can get out here).

X-Prize offers $10m for working Trek tricorder

Quote:
The X Prize Foundation, famed for innovative big-prize challenges in technical advancement, has outlined its next contest: make an all-purpose mobile device that can do a doctor's work better than a medical professional.

The Foundation, in collaboration with Qualcomm, has put up a $10m (£6.5m) prize to help the winner develop the tricorder, which should combine a range of tech from wireless sensors to medical imaging and microfluidics.

We're already moving in the right direction … exhibit 1 and exhibit 2.

I know someone who was on last night's Watchdog. You'll be pleased to know it was not one of the dodgy people but the heating expert Henry Eldred.
