why do some people on the first post of day thread say "onwards and sideways"?? see when people write that I just imagine them as a really old old granny or a disfigured human all hunched and bent over and really struggles to walk etc, or sometimes I picture the actual user as a sort of "hunchback of notre dam" why do people say this and whats it mean? Ive never ever heard the phrase here

Spent 10am till 3pm stood in a frackin' ice cream hut, watching the rain and the few visitors walk past me, helping myself to [LIFTED] machine made instant 'cappuccino' to stay warm, then be told that I'm not going to have a lunch break.
With no packed lunch, I resorted to nibbling on the 99 flake sticks.
Didn't even make a sale of hot drinks until got midday.

I am, however, at home, with a bowl of mulligatawny in me and I have some new parts for the car to go and fit. Things seem better now.
