Talk about a meme, cupcakes aren't actually very nice if you concentrate on their flavour and ignore the pretty dressing.

Depends what you put in them though, judging by Americans love of quantity over quality they must taste foul .... and this is day 3 of not getting a decent nights sleep

why do some people on the first post of day thread say "onwards and sideways"?? see when people write that I just imagine them as a really old old granny or a disfigured human all hunched and bent over and really struggles to walk etc, or sometimes I picture the actual user as a sort of "hunchback of notre dam" why do people say this and whats it mean? Ive never ever heard the phrase here also note that its only females that say this weird "phrase"

Have you come across the phrase "onwards and upwards"? http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/onwards+and+upwards"Onwards and sideways" my take on that phrase, because I don't seem to be going upwards, only sideways. In quod ut pars!

That's privileged information between me and my orthopaedic surgeon.

Spent 10am till 3pm stood in a frackin' ice cream hut, watching the rain and the few visitors walk past me, helping myself to [LIFTED] machine made instant 'cappuccino' to stay warm, then be told that I'm not going to have a lunch break. With no packed lunch, I resorted to nibbling on the 99 flake sticks. Didn't even make a sale of hot drinks until got midday. I am, however, at home, with a bowl of mulligatawny in me and I have some new parts for the car to go and fit. Things seem better now.

See, as long as I had somewhere I could set a book or mag, that would suit me down to the ground - I actually quite like rain falling for some weird reason
