Got my tree this evening. Then realised my existing christmas lights are frankly inadequate for it. I'll have to get some new ones. Ah well, at least this time I suppose I can get LEDs.

I put my tinsel on my long rod for the festive shoot this afternoon. And my tree is now up. It may only be a few inches and soft, but it's good enough for what I want:

I've got a little short one with lights on. It's got batteries included.
BTW, I'm taking about a tiny tree in a pot. With little tinsel, decorations and LEDs.
But I can't help thinking that some of you might have read the first bit wrong...

Surely any "sparkle" is just down to the glass surrounds? I can't see any reason why a quality set of LED lights wouldn't look good. As above, the plastic four foot tree we have is around 25 years old, maybe older.
