Pietersen out of the rest of the series after an operation on his achilles.

Given he's been playing like a drain so far because of the injury, I honestly can't say how much of an affect this will have.

Probably not as much as Flintoff if he was out for the series.

I can just see Bell jumping for joy, then discovering that Rob Key is going to replace Pieterson!

Actually, Bell has been playing very well at County level of late, so he's probably got a shoe in.
