Either way, I am vindicated!
It wasn't my call you see - "they" (some of my colleagues) bought the arms without consulting anyone who'd looked into them (ie. me) - had they done they'd have been pointed toward the next (taller) model up in the range, for 3/4 the price from another online retailer. Oh well, I was told the business account (with Dell) was "worth it".
I also advised we test them out straight away - but it was decided there was no rush (despite the fact we were getting them in response to workstation assessments made some 4 months ago!)
I then also demanded we intiate the return as soon as we found out they were a pointless waste of money (£10 a millimetre)
Did anyone listen to me? No. Oh well, my emails are all on record.
Still, £800 now down the drain. And it'll be up to me to set up the company eBay account no doubt.
Tomorrow I'm going see if I can "waste" £800 on 3D Connexion mice so I can get productivity gains up and mask what a stupid waste of money this has all been (and will continue to be as we're now going to have to buy more!)
