What you're basically wanting, if I've read correctly, is your money back and to keep the item.

The item is of absolutely no use to myself, since it is faulty and is potentially unsafe.

Thanks for your help anyway guys,

Peter.

I recently opened a paypal dispute recently as I ordered a pair of jeans and they were fake.
The seller refused to pay return postage but I got my money back and still have the item (which the seller can have back when he pays postage or sends a courier)

Was that as a voluntary gesture on behalf of the seller or via the PayPal process?

Ah ok, I guess they're a bit keener on the counterfeit thing. My claim is for 'significantly not as described', which is different. I want my money!

Me too. I've told them that they will receive daily telephone calls until it is sorted. I have a free number for PayPal, so I will continue calling them every day to check on the progress of my claim!

Peter.

Could you post that number here, or PM it to me? I've an ongoing dispute with PayPal - they wanted me to provide evidence the DS game I was sent was fake by sending them an expert's stamped approval that the game was fake! Yeah, how am I gonna/get the time to do that?!

In the end I faxed them off the inside of the game's manual (which was just a review of the game  ) and the serial number on the back of the box (all the naughts!) - they still wouldn't accept my 'significantly not as described' claim. The auction page said brand new and sealed. Funnily enough, I thought I was getting a real game

I'll be using every avenue to get my money back if PayPal [LIFTED] me about anymore (my credit card company, Trading Standards, anyone who can possibly help) :x

Get to Trading Standards or contact ELSPA - they'll get the game confirmed as fake for you. Possibly initiate a prosecution too.

Sorry, when I said "Free" it's actually a London number. It'll be included in any bundled minutes on your mobile free of charge.

Tel: 020 86053000
Fax: 020 86053001

Hope that helps,

Peter.

im on study leave now :D no more school for a month, then we go back for a six-week headstart on A2

i can see this ending two ways: i either actually do some revising and do alright in the exams (january exams were all Ds so if i want a decent grade i will actually have to work), or i say 'screw it' and play TF2 the whole time, and botch the exams, end up on the dole and die alone on a council estate

i really hope i have the willpower for the former :?
