Mythbusters effectively blew this kind of story out of the window, but if the power line was of sufficiently high voltage it's still possible.

I couldn't see how the line wouldn't already be earthed by a more conductive connection. Hmmmmm. Back to a pre-GCSE level physics textbook for this Edd iThink

It might also depend on your health. If you are ill your urine may have extra salts in the fluid which could be conductive. A lot of variables though. You would need a continuous stream of urine as well.

Not necessarily. Power's distributed at fairly substantial voltages to increase efficiency, I just can't see why a grounded wire could short by travelling through a person. I'm fairly certain I'm making a rather fundamental error, though.

He probably slipped and fell onto the live wire as he was taking a pee.

+1.5

They did do a real example on a cattle fence and Adam did get shocked from it, but you have to be VERY close, in the dark.... it's possible

Even in the dark, I think it's a natural instinct to make sure it's not too close to anything else when you're going :!:

For most things they would get 10/10 for effort, but far less for a scientific approach. Perhaps the lack of human subjects is the problem.

Like I said they did recreate it with Adam as a test subject with a normal cattle fence :)
