Apology Clicky

Just found this.

Can't read that at work, but I presume they're not going to be shipping them?

Just had an email from Dabs regrading the account I setup, but no mention of the order I made.

The order status is Awaiting Stock, and the quicklink to the product no longer exists.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Yeah, same here.
I only thought to actually check the order status today as I ordered something else with it.
I've split the order now so I'll not have to wait for the other item.
We're never going to get this camera from them for this price! (8+D

Surely they dont think they can tell everyone by Twitter about the error? They must be sending emails out of cancelling the orders?

I wouldn't have thought so, some people (like me) don't even know what twitter is, the link I posted was found by a search on google. I'm surprised not to have heard anything yet tbh, what are they pondering over?

Well the twitter post stated it was a supplier issue (im not sure how as the price was on their website) perhapse they are trying to work something out with the suppliers so they don't lose 'face'.

They get an xml feed from suppliers which they add a markup percentage to then autofeed it to their site.

Dont mind them really. Dad had an old Canon SLR (asking him what the model was) when I was growing up which is the camera that got me interested in photography. I'd sell it simply because I've got a DSLR and have invested in lenses and other kit for it. It would be a big upheavel to replace it all. If I had the money and inclination to do that I think it'd be for a full frame Nikon.

I lied. He had a Chinon CE-4s with power winder and IIRC Pentax K-mount glass. I loved that camera. It had a split prism focusing screen and a depth of field preview lever. I'd still love to have those features on my DSLR now. (Ok I know I cando DOF preview on the DSLR and at a push buy a split focusing screen but its not the same.... ahhh blinded by nostalgia :) )

I'm slowly working backwards in terms of camera age. Maybe I'll never get that 5D Mk III/7D II combo!
