Morning all, hoping today will be better than yesterday.

Things are already looking up, managed to get motivated, was up at 7:30 (not been able to make myself do that in a while) and even got in some work before coming up to uni!

On site today, currently setting up 6 laptops with Windows 7 pro, horrid nasty cheap plastic laptops but the specs look OK.
Then got 3 PC's & 3 laser printers to do.

I'm having another one of "those" days. I have got through a lot of work today which feels good, but it's been an uphill struggle...against my attitude as much as my workload.

Still, the afternoon has calmed down a bit and I've got through a couple of mental blockages regarding procrastination (did you know it's National Procrastination Week?) and that's helped, a few of the long-term jobs have gone from my "To Do" list which I have proudly updated. I have 1 hour left at work and am going to spend it playing with travel packs.

Bad news: I ache in places I didn't know I could ache.
Good news: They want me back next week.

I said yes. I'm thinking of those lovely little pounds growing in my bank account. I don't think I'd like to work there permanently - though most of the staff appear to have been agency staff at one point or another! The folks I'm working with are nice enough. All ages, all kinds of backgrounds. It's good to get out and mix with real people, after the rarified atmosphere of the design world. We don't get opportunities to natter very often, but the banter can give rise to some great humour - especially for the blokes as we're dealing with women's garments all the time.

"I think that number would suit you, darling. I've found a matching bag and shoes, as well."

"Ya really fink? Not sure it's me colour."



It's strange not being linked to the world while working. After a while I notice the cravings ease, and I don't itch to connect constantly. That can only be a good thing, right?

Off for an eye test to replace my scratched to bu**ery glasses. Still, I've gotten almost 4 years use out of them so I guess they didn't do too bad.

I will also finally be ordering my shiny new DSLR camera (so expect a much better replacement camera to be launched by Canon in the next week or so).
It's exciting!

I had planned a photosnaptic expedition this morning. Last night, though, fatigue overwhelmed me and the thought of getting up with the sun didn't appeal. So, the expedition was abandoned. It's still a glorious day out there, though, so there's still time.

Today I shall mostly be doing chores, then bed, then back to the grind tomorrow.
