How long does it normally take for Scan to send e-mail confirmation?

Not long ;)
I bought my monitor off them about 2 months back, they sent about 5 emails confirming each stage of them processing the order. So I guess you will get your first pretty soon. Delivery is prompt as well (they specified when mine would arrive which was nice).

Mark, so you know, you may not get an email now until Monday. They accept orders 24/7, but their order confirmation, payment and shipping systems on work Mon-Fri 9-5ish.

Good choice though :)

Does anyone think the Samsung Spinpoint F3 is any good? I've been reading this thread, but it's not that clear to me

Thanks for this. I was a little concerned when I got in to work a little while ago and there still wasn't an e-mail from them.
I had to create a new account as I'd never bought anything from them before so I was unsure how they worked, but I knew the 'site had a fairly decent reputation so I never expected to be ripped off.
Thanks for the advice everyone and when I do finally get my hands on the drive I'll post back and tell you how I find it.

Mark

Should be good, I've got a couple of Hitachi 1Tb's, so I'd expect them to be terrible, but they've not been too bad so you should be fine.

I swear by Samsung Spinpoint F1s, but the F3 is supposedly even better. I'm very happy with all of mine.

+1
