Our works email is setup so people can view their email using Internet Explorer (or another browser).
I noticed today that this webmail seems to have stopped working.
I have restarted the server in question and checked IIS is running. If I type https://localserver/exchange then I can view my email box but webmail is still down
Do you mean that you can't see the email from outside the company, without a VPN connection?

Came in this morning and restarted a switch (just in-case) but that did not cure it so took a look at our 4 routers and noticed the internet light was out on 1 of them - typical sods law that it was the one that looks after webmail!
Restarted it, internet link came back up and so did webmail!
