Ok, rough layout. I have a Mac Mini up here and a PC that I want to connect to the internet. I've managed to destroy my one long cable that stretched all the way downstairs. What I'm hoping to do is connect the PC to my Mac Mini via Ethernet, and then use the Mac Mini as a bridge to get an internet connection on the PC (the Mini is connected wirelessly).
Is this possible?

In that case, how does one go about doing it, finding it difficult to get instructions (the whole Mac / MAC Address issue makes googling a challenge)

Once the Mac mini is connected to the 'net enable Internet Sharing in Sys. Prefs. (System Prefs. > Sharing > Internet Sharing) then select ethernet in the "Share your connection from" drop-down. After that it should be a simple case of configuring your PC.
