Even though the MOD has said there is little point in asking to take them down this representative of the people has asked google to do so.

I had a look at the images earlier and a couple of imgaes have been removed, those that would give a direct view into the site from the entrance. However the normal satellite view works fine and even labels the site as British SAS.

I couldn't find a boathouse either. ;)

I remember a couple of years back someone in Australia called for google maps to remove images of the nuclear reactor they have. Well if you want to attack a research reactor that has 7kg of low enriched uranium as compared to 50,000kg enriched uranium/plutonium for a typical power reactor, then good luck to you.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

Jesus wept, because it would kill a terrorist to go and take a photo themselves.

Quick, remove all the photos of Westminster and MI5/6 too, and ban all those Bond films with them in...we can't have people knowing what they look like and where they are, it's just too dangerous! :|

You don't get virgins for taking photos, just for blowing stuff and people up.

Dick Cheney's house in Texas has been removed from Google Earth.

Tbf, there's even a lot of Americans who'd like to see him 'have an accident' ;)

Can’t we just turn around the “nothing to fear, nothing to hide” argument on people who would advocate ID card, CCTV etc.?
