Why'd you need an iPhone for that??? I agree with the others, and I do love miPod touch.

I wonder how long it'll be before we see something like the Apple a4 in the iPhones.

I would presume that will happen as soon as possible. An optimised chip will no doubt be more power efficient than a general purpose one. I heard for example that one power saving that the iPad has is the chip is not expecting a camera in the device and so does not waste cycles checking for one. I don't know how true it is but I suspect that there are lots of such savings to be made if you make both the software and the hardware. Now excuse me but didge has given me an idea for another thread. I must rush out and post it.

It is just the easiest way to do it .. there are, of course, other methods available! Didge

Specs I'd like to see
1ghz or better CPU OLED with 800 x 600 res or greater I'm not fussed about res of the camera but a better quality would be nice. WiFi N A different design would be nice, Aluminum uni-body perhaps

As long as it doesn't effect the useability of the screen it'd be good. My HD2 has a high res screen and clicks don't register where they should.

Ditto but the case does not need to change that much.

I'm not sure that's likely in a phone just yet. I suspect the chips still pull too much juice when transmitting. Plus when pulling the kind of data that's useful on a phone, I'm not sure what the advantage of 'N' is. You're not likely to be trying to stream 1080p video to your phone, are you? Jon

It was more a matter of other networks in the area. There are a couple of b/g close by but no n's

As above, my Airport is of the dual band variety so no problem there but when round others there is little to but use 3G. But I take your point with regards to power consumptions, perhaps they could implement switching? I guess not if that would require 2 chips.

I would probably only use wifi n when syncing or browsing from home. It is not really essential. there are far more interesting options that could be included.

Have you tried recalibrating the screen? It's a bit tricky to find the calibration option so withjout wishing to sound condescending... Go into Settings. Tap on the Menu option at the bottom of the screen and select "All Settings" Select System Select Screen and the Align Screen option is there... Let us know how you get on, (assuming you haven't already done this)

Already done it several times & reflashed the firmware. It's nowhere near as good as the iphone or android phones I've used (although that's probably as it's a bolt-on to winmo and not designed in to the OS design)

O.k.
I guess a better screen is a good bet for the iPhone 4. Maybe OLED and maybe not, but most probably better than the current screen.
So what else is probable? Could the video be improved do you think? Could it make a move to compete with the "Flip" type of camera?
