Morning all. Should hopefully be getting my prescription safety glasses sorted out today. What a mess it's been. My Optician, Specsavers won't do safety glasses unless you buy their own. Guess what, my employer doesn't do that, they issue a form that an optician needs to fill in to have the glasses dispensed by a third party. Tried D&A, nope, they don't deal with the company who issue the forms. Tried an independent opticians and they said fine but the frames you've selected are too small for your eyes. I just can't win I tell you. Third or fourth time lucky I guess.
Anyway, have a good day folks.

Charter gets my vote. Hello. *waves* My car would have been ready to collect today, but someone delivered the wrong bits. So, that's next weekend sorted out. Tomorrow I shall be playing toy trains at the London Festival of Railway Modelling at Alexandra Palace in norf Lahndahn. If I'm honest, I can think of many better things I'd rather be doing, but we promised - and a promise is a promise. Right, let's finish watching this Time Team, and then get on with some chores. *waves again*

Good day. Hopefully. Working tomorrow, so I had an early start today to get done all the chores I normally do tomorrow. 7am on a Sunday is not something I'm familiar with Thank the big bunny it should be a Good Friday next week. I'm not sure I'd survive otherwise

Afternoon
My back is starting to improve, mostly down to the insane cocktail of drugs I am currently taking for it. Life is infinitely more pleasant for it though.
In other news we have nearly got all the wedding invitations finished.

Evening all, Got my new camera today. Also got a phone call from my little brother telling me that if I went onto Google street maps I could see my dad standing outside his house, which was seriously wierd... Oh well, enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone.

Good morning all. Apparently Windows 7 is retarded - it put the clock forward by 2 hours this morning.

Morning all, first chance to sit at the computer since Friday morning (apart from shutting it down Friday evening)... Girlfriend is now moved in, lots of cartons to unpack. We managed to get everything over by Friday, her brother turned up with a trailer and we got the last couple of bulky pieces of furniture over. It is incredible how much she/I have thrown out, merging 2 households into 1. She feels both guilty, because we had to buy a lot of new stuff, and I had to pay for it, on the other hand, most of my stuff was better than hers, so most of the duplicated stuff and cupboards we gave away or threw away were hers... We put in 3 new toilet cisterns, 2 new toilets and 2 new basins yesterday. The brothers did the hard work, I spent most of the day driving back and forth to the DIY buying and changing stuff. It was really stressy, especially as they found another rotten pipe upstairs, when the tool the basin in the toilet out - the room is really narrow and they had the biggest basin I've ever seen in there! We replaced it with about the smallest we could find! With the old one, I couldn't stand before the toilet and sitting on the toilet, I had to manoeuvre myself behind the basin and slid onto the toilet from the side! The new toilets are "extra tall", so I can actually comfortably sit on them, although I think my girlfriends feet won't touch the floor! Hoping for a relaxing day today. So much stress yesterday and over the last week, even though it was supposed to be holiday, my back has seized up and is constricting my chest. I need to relax for a few days, but back to work tomorrow.

Didn't sleep last night, was up reading.... despite taking rather more than the recommended dose of the 'sleeping aid' I couldnt sleep and didn't even feel tired.
So putting it to use by doing some dev work on my app tonight (adding in a custom config for colour scheme and fixing some bugs) and some more dissertation work, with some 3d modelling tonight of a fish, hook and worm
