You have to have a steam account to register. Though none of the games actually appealed to me. I will probably have another look but if I cannot see anything worth playing I will not bother.

I have tried to sign on but heck their login procedure is a mess. I have spent the last twenty minutes trying to actually sign up. The verify your a human bit give no clue as to whether it is case sensitive or not, then is slow to respond, then I have received a email verification email but that seems to achieve nothing. I get no joy in trying to contact steam as it wants a login but now my user name is no longer available. Then when I enter my email address I get the We could not find an account with that username or email address. So it looks like I will not be trying steam .

I signed up. Though with no internet at home atm it could have been in vain....
