Hi all,

I'm using Freeway to create a site for the Purple One and I want to create a simple footer, something that always appears at the bottom of the page, no matter how long it is, and is always centred, no matter how wide the browser window is. I've looked through menus and the manual, but I can't see anything in there...

Anyone know how to do it?

Many thanks,
Ben

I think the last time I did something like that I created an image/HTML box and set it to 100% width then centred the content within that.

I've tried that, but the HTML that is outputted puts the width in as pixels, not % :(

In the inspector you should be able to set the dimensions in percentage form.

I don't have Freeway on my MacBook, but I'm fairly sure it was a percentage in the inspector, which is why it puzzled me so much...I'll check when I get back home...

Okay. Maybe someone else will come along in the meantime and provide another solution. *shrug*

I have an Action that does this - makes a footer out of a layered item, and it gets glues to the end of the content. I don’t think it’s available anywhere, but if I remember tomorrow, I’ll add it to my web site.

Nudge me.

It just needs a bit of cleaning up in the interface, and some instructions writing.

Here you go then:

http://www.actionsworld.com/Actions/MakeFooter/

Some skeleton instructions which should help get you going. I use this Action a lot, and it takes a lot of pain out of positioning footers. This should be core functionality really.

That's brilliant, thanks Paul :)
I've just come up to campus so I'll give it a go in a bit :)
