electronic clothes peg that sends you a message when it starts raining.

I mean, I know it's an April Fool but I'd actually buy one.

10 stories that could be April Fools... but aren't
It's a day when the news itself comes with a health warning - beware of stories which turn out not to be true. But not every weird report is an April Fool. Here is a round-up of some of the day's seemingly hoax news stories which are actually true.

:D

Have to say, I saw "Dean Richards nominated for ERC Coaching Award" on the Torygraph website and had to check it!

How has noone mentioned Youtube's ASCII art?

Basically some videos (quite a few of them, i've had results from "normal" stuff to gametrailers to anime videos) have the option of "Textp" where the usual 360p, 480p and 720p options are and it changes the images into ASCII...

Examples here

Citroen confirms radical development for Jordan
Sebastien Loeb will be less disadvantaged running first on the road from now on thanks to a new device designed to reduce the harmful effects caused by sweeping.
Sebastien Loeb will benefit from a new evolution this week in Jordan, designed to reduce the harmful effects caused by running first on the road and having to sweep away the loose gravel.

A statement from Citroen today revealed that the device, developed in the utmost secrecy, is installed in the front bumper.

"Two miniature brushes have been integrated into the carbon fibre front spoiler and their role is to clean the road to help improve tyre grip. The redesigned spoiler has also enhanced the air flow under the car, and at the same time increased aero downforce," explained the manufacturer.

"The on-going problem of sweeping drove us to examine different technical solutions," added Némo Broomstick, the engineer in charge of the project. "After several test sessions in a special underwater wind tunnel, we decided on the mini-sweepers in camel hair, which is particularly well adapted to the desert stages this weekend.

"Thanks to this radical innovation, we think we've improved Sébastien's and Daniel [Elena]'s chances of victory a hundredfold."

Fancy an iPad but can't stretch the budget quite that far? Well why not get yourself a Pad-Dock? It's a portable dock for your iPhone that magically turns it into an iPad! Well, maybe not magically, but it certainly is clever. Using a touch-screen magnifier, your iPhone screen is enlarged to the exact dimensions of an iPad. Most of the features that the iPad boasts about are on the iPhone anyway, so it only makes good sense to simply enlarge it. And, unlike the iPad, you can actually answer and make calls. Technology, eh?

Steve (Hammers fan who sits next to me) is appalled about this, but despite very heavy hinting from me and my boss about the date, he doesn't seem to have twigged yet. He's really not happy.
