Sadly, that picture looks a lot like my front room at times, but without the gawky child with a stick. Very much looking forward to this new series. On paper, it looks like it could be much better that the RTD led era. I trust Moffat to weave a fantastic 13-episode story arc. He had better not let me down.

Ever since Babylon 5 there have been more and more series with long story arcs. It does make much more sense especially with DVD sales at the end. It makes the whole series much more interesting.

An arc would be nice, but I don't care half as much about that, as I do about Smith's performance and Moffat's writing. Very excited.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

I've set alarms and reminders and post-it notes everywhere. I'll probably still miss the first 5 minutes

Well.....good start there, I'd say. I like the new Tardis but that revised theme tune will take a little getting used to. Seems from the preview that Amy's police uniform will not be making a return which is a bit of a shame. Matt Smith did a good job establishing himself and his character. Looking forward to the forthcoming episodes to see what Stephen Moffat and his team have in store.

Yes but maybe she can do kissagrams for the daleks? I will have to watch it again. Though frightening off the aliens at the end was good. Though one less enemy for future seasons.

Really? The Doctor can travel to many other places/planets/galaxies where the big eye aliens can make another showing. Mark

Some interesting references I spotted: •The obligatory Hitch HIker’s Guide to the Galaxy reference. This time we get the Somebody Else’s Problem field.
• People screaming in unison whilst in a coma was very close (even in camera angle) to the Tintin story Seven Crystal Balls (Moffat started working on the Tintin film before the TARDIS beckoned)
