in the day I was panicing with adrenalin and nerves, She suggested to go to a coffee shop which ive never been to before as she didn't have much time (few hours) Got on like fire, conversation flowed perfectly and got no nerves and just relaxed once I was in cafe and it wasnt one sided conversation too, I felt so happy just being within her presence, felt like dream kinda thing. I paid for all the drinks as she let me too and appreciated that etc, I noticed when we were sitting at table she seemed to be squirming a lot or a bit restless, anyone know what that means? probably nervous around me? so walked back to my car and I didn't even ask her out the whole time I was with her (still nervous to ask out as im a failure :( ) I was wanting to hug her but dunno if it would of been appropiate or not but I just went for it anyway and did so, Asked her again if she'd want to meet up again sometime, I said next month just incase Im pestering but she said to text her to meet up in 2 weeks

The seat wasn't comfortable for her? Either that or she has worms

Because you're a depressive pessimist?

Seriously, the less you care about it (up to a point), the better you'll be/act etc.

blah, im such a fool, an overeacting drama queen to be precise  the girl Im dating katie didn't ignore my texts atall, it was cos the phone mast was down due to snowy weather and my friend said to me that she was talking to him and how shes been trying to contact me to arrange another "date" and my friend also says that she does "like" me whatever that means? :( I saw her few days ago I was driving past her in a car park and I felt really faint and dizzy, and adrenalin shot so high that I nearly lost concentration of driving for a sec  so Im going to go to her work bank and arrange another date but I feel nervous still, the buildup etc, and im really paniking incase I screw it all up  friend says visiting wind turbines isint a good idea as I intended and says I should take her to the movies  just seems so challenging etc so its made me dizzy all this as I lack such experiance over this type of stuff hence why I ask for advice so much on here

I think we've been telling you this for a while ;)

So are you technically dating now?

Wind turbines... that's definitely... ... i hesitate to say strange. It sounds like it could potentially be a good scene, like at night, a picnic maybe? With some good lighting. But i'm not sure how it'd fare in the day time for just a stroll around to see them? But then again maybe she'd like that so you should keep it "normal" for now and maybe then do something more varied later.

As for just walking into her workplace... to me that sounds a bit sketchy, i can see how it's an option due to the phone mast being down but just going up and talking in her own work place doesn't sound like the best of plans (imo). Not that i can think of anything better in that situation... we'll see what other people think ;>.

Firstly, Bratty, congrats on being one of the first forumites to post in this thread then go on an actual date! ;)

Secondly, I like the wind turbines idea, but as above, maybe in the right lighting with a meal or a stroll.

Also, I'm not so sure about walking into her place of work either, I mean she might like the surprise, but it's not exactly somwehere you can talk openly or for an extended period of time. I know this is a bit 'out there' but have you thought about just calling her to arrange something? That way you can have a catch up and make a set date?

well shes the receptionist at bank of scotland, so whats strange about me just walking in and then asking if shes free on saturday then just walk back out? ages ago I did randomly pop in to lend her one of my dvds and gave her an irn bru too. I feel weird now that people say its sketchy etc  means Its more normal to wait until the bank closes and talk to her when she exits?

argh the way normal people put it, I dont think I should bother trying?

also how will she know that its a proper date and not just a "catchup" kinda meetup :(? really just want to spill it all/confess how I feel etc

Well if you've been in and spoken to her before and it was fine. Then I don't see why you couldn't pop in again to arrange a meeting.

I think from what you've described and how you've said things are going, and by the fact that it'll just be the two of you again, it can be assumed it's more than a 'catchup'.

I'm not sure spilling everything is the right thing, but go with your feelings. It might be worth mentioning that you think a lot of her and are enjoying the time you guys are spending together, then you can see what he response is and go from there.

Hey!
Maybe she'd be interested in seeing your collection of blank firing pistols and knives at work :?:

That'd be a great ice breaker.
