Thing is the 50% tax on the top earners won't impact people earning just over £150k - as they only pay 50% tax on anything above that figure. It's people earning millions that will be hit harder. It makes for a nice headline, but at the end of the day the amount raised by it is chickenfeed compared to the amount wasted every year.
