Yes but minus the lawgiver and in close combat I think that the Seagall might just have it. Pointy fingers into Dredd's veins for one thing. :P

Dredd's taken on Aliens and Predators in his time, even went toe to toe with Batman, I think he can take on an overweight Greenpeace supporter - even if that supporter has somehow found a knife once again.

"COOKING KNIVES!!!" :D

Seriously though Steve would destroy Dredd one on one.

As for Dawkins, he's a cock. He might have a point, and plenty of people hate the pope, or the church, or whatever, but [LIFTED] off back to writing books and make yourself a tasty little fortune from pissing all over other people's faiths/beliefs/lifestyles.

Pffftt. Dredd may never take the helmet off, but at least he hasn't got so fat that he only really gets viewed from the neck up these days, and Dredd's old  ;)

On Dawkins, he seems to believe in what he's saying and is one of the few people who've ever really questioned religion so publicly and found supporters, so I've little problem with him profiting from it really...

Yes he has been consistent in that respect. Even so I do think that it would be better if a child charity called for his arrest though maybe that might be problematic for the charity.

You would piss off a lot of potential donors. Best if a charity stays out of politics really...

And?

I'll say it again. Dawkins is a cock. He's divisive, aggressive and actively seeks to ruin people's faith in something which helps them to live their lives. Whatever the Pope did, it's not up to some author to go on a publicity stunt/crusade to fix it. He can't fix it and arresting the Pope will do nothing to fix the larger issues. It will merely piss off Catholics worldwide and make them even less tolerant than they already are. That's in nobody's interest.

The pope is at risk of being arrested only for those crimes which happened when he covered up incidents. He is not guilty all the other offences thrown at the Catholic Church. What is necessary is that all the Cardinals who covered up such incidents should be charged with perverting justice and sentenced accordingly. The priests themselves should be charged with any crimes that they committed. Though that should happen in the jurisdiction of where the crime was committed. That is not attacking the church itself.
