Yes but they probably make other sacrifices that we have not been told about. We all have our priorities and will forgo some other things to have the odd luxury. Who knows they could have got all that stuff off freecycle. The fact that the benefit system actually encourages super sized families especially when employers make no allowance for them does get in the throat of those who work. Child benefits and other such benefits should be capped at three kids. If you get more kids then you will not be bailed out of financial straits because of them. Vouchers are demeaning and how would you feel if they topped up low pay with them?

£42k!?!?!
How is it that they earn far more than I do yet I havebdo bust my ass everyday, working for 10-12 hours, breaking EWTD so my patients don't die and here these guys are living the life. WTF?!??
All benefits should reach a cap. Benefits should be there to make life bareable, not live a life of luxury. IMO their total benefits should have been capped at £15k. The more incentive there is to work, the better. Somethig like this encourages indolence.

A very good example of why the benefits system needs to be changed.

Exactly. Amnesia pointed out that maybe they give up other things to have Sky and a £13k car but I still dont see it. You should have enough money to get by and thats it. If you want luxuries you work for them. If you cant afford to work and look after 7 kids then dont have 7 [LIFTED] kids!! I also think you should have to 'work' for dole money. Even if its just a few hours in the week doing work in the community. Sitting on your arse all day waiting for a big cheque to drop through the letter box by choice is wrong. There are people out there who genuinely need benefits and then these scroungers.

I agree that the sum is crazy, but since they were on benefits it should be capped for three kids, so no chance of them sponging till they get 14 kids in all. That creates the wrong incentives. Now they could easily claim that any job will mean a drop in income for them. The other side is what about the disabled? They may not be able to work and even with all the support to get them jobs they do not find it easy to get work. Should their benefits be capped because they are unable to work? For those in a position to work I would accept that they do have the option of getting a job if they really wanted one, and so maybe capping benefits is a fair compromise for them.
