It depends what you want to do with it. That particular model will be quite limited in what it can run.

Go for at least a G4 Powerbook. The G3 processor is really slow now. My Powermac G3 can't even handle the original Unreal Tournament, as a comparison. :)

Or if you have a spare PC laying around, OSX86 it. :)

It will have an Apache web server on it. You could use it as a media server for the home if you can hang a decent sized drive off it.

But I’d concur with others here - unless you like the older machine, try to get something more recent.

I have just bought a G4 iMac (lampshade version) 60 Gb HHD 800 Mz so will be fine for my dad email and Office. Stupidly cheap. £51
