Maybe we could finally get some PR and sensible policies, rather than pandering to the rich.

Now there is a dream... a parliament that represents the people.

I'd vote for that.

Done. I’ve flagged all 3 major parties in my Tweet.

Nice one, and now the poll suggests they're so out of touch more people are willing to vote for pastry ;)

Unless we do vote the incumbents get their way. We do need change.

No reply or reaction. To be expected, I guess. So far, the parties see the internet as a push mechanism - they push their tat at you, but do not want to respond to your comments.

I wouldn't expect you to be Alun and I don't suppose I will, but I figured somebody in this thread might care enough to bother ;)

I can't make up my mind, to be honest.

There are better things I could spend my time doing, but I'm secretly hoping it'll turn into true car crash television.

I may have it on in the background while I do something else more constructive.

Oh don't get me wrong I care, I have just lost confidence that we are going to end up with anybody that's any better that what have at the moment, obviously they cant be any worse.......

I don't have any serious suggestions of what we could do to improve things so all I can do is pray somebody like Heather comes along and actual makes a difference.

The joke about a hung parliament or hanging the members of parliament actually works for me as I don't have any faith in any of them.

Politicians, IMHO, seem to be of the opinion the respect of the masses is their god given right and it comes with their job title. Until the members of parliament realise that they have a vertical cliff to climb to earn the respect of the populace and prove their worth after the horrors of the last 2 years I can't see things improving much.

And I'm not holding my breath

Lets all just assume the position and get ready to be royally screwed ....again !

And the mood I'm in at the moment I hope a certain person does read this.

You can guarantee it's going to be rehashed and remixed on YouTube very quickly.

The problem is that the two main parties have moved closer and closer and they are barely any different in their contempt for the public. Both are more beholden to the rich who fund both parties. That is why a fixed cap on total donations per person is needed. It will force them to get rid of spin doctors, focus groups and and poll research in order to buy the election. If they were capped financially they would have to differentiate themselves with different policies rather than variations of the same policy.

I expect this evening to been a rather damp squib aside from the fact that we get to hear more of what the LibDems are about, I think they're the only ones that will benefit from it.

Unlike the US, where viewers haven't generally seen much of candidates beforehand, we already know more than we want to about the main party leaders so I don't expect there to be a similar reaction after the event as there usually is across the waves.

It would be nice to hear to some proper answers rather than, what I expect to get, a lot of equivocation.
