I have heard a few things about the liberal manifesto, and I am happy to support them. There was a critique of Vince Cable by David Buik who is a big name in the city. He called Vince dangerous, because he wants to break the banks up. That seals it for me. Business want everything and unlimited support from the tax payer. Well we cant afford it.

Larry, Curly and Moe will be on the telly tonight. ITV, 8:30pm. Expect slapstick, knock-about humour.
Or not.

We've acquired a BNP candidate in our constituency now. He, like the LibDem candidate, has a McC-something surname.
I wonder how many will be confused on the ballot...

Yup - we have a Nazi standing too. Alphabetically, he comes top of the list. Arsebiscuits.

At least this dalek is supporting the Liberals, though I have never heard of a Liberal dalek before.

One party I could never consider supporting. Only problem is that Labour have treated the working class like mushrooms and so the BNP will have a large angry electorate to get support from.

The BNP is a good example of why proportional representation is a bad idea. Extremists actually get seats.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

You can exclude them if they fail to meet a minimum percentage. I certainly would not want a BNP MP but if PR gives them one I think that I will accept that as unpalatable as it is. As it is they could get one in Stoke with a first past the post system.

We had it on the radio while we were trashing the kitchen and bathroom ready for decorating, apart from the occasional bit where Reds new toy (an electric sander) drowned out the voices I listened with interest, even though I have no plans to vote for any of the 3 parties involved. It was quite good to be able to listen to what they were saying without being distracted by their appearances, one of my friends couldn't get over the fact that (to him) Gordon looked like Baron Greenback from Dangermouse I think Nick Clegg sounds a bit like Paul Merton

Nick Clegg was the clear winner in the debate, but Cameron and Brown were close in many respects. Better than expected.

Clegg did extremely well in my opinion, if he can keep that up in the next two debates there might be a few more votes in that for the Lib Dems. A lot of press coverage for the Lib Dems too today - all 4 broadsheets feature Clegg on the front page.

I watched, with Best Beloved. We also watched several variants of media dissection afterwards.
Colour me impressed. Also, with those standing in my constituency, colour me Lib-Dem. Again.
I thought Clegg came out really well. Despite the other two always wanting to revert to a two-way match, it was amusing to see Clegg's expressions and gesticulations of despair at their antics.
So, if he can do as well in the next two debates, we might see a very different political landscape come May 7. Hopefully.
