Morning all.
Woke up feeling like I had a hangover which is strange as I haven't drunk since Wednesday.
Time to do a bit of shopping before firing up the BBQ for lunch

Morn...uh..Afterno...uh..Eveni...uh...G'Night

Busy day. Started by heading to Brum after breakfast (late breakfast) for the Birmingham Bizarre Bazaar, quite a fascinating experience, very interesting and a shame you can't have cameras there. I bought a new half-bust corset which is lovely and then we came home. We'll be going again for the after-party which runs until 11pm on the 3rd Sunday of the month, I'm looking forward to that 8-)

When we got home the decorating carried on, we've done 2 walls of the living room and the ceiling in there. The feature wall looks really good, I'm so pleased with the colours and can't wait to get the other half of the room done tomorrow, it's already making such a difference.

I'm off for the next 4 days so I should be able to get everything done by then, cover the loveseat and have a day to get the last bits of cleaning done. Then at the weekend we can do fun shopping for fish, some more frogs, a load of plants, some shrimp and a crab :) I'm looking forward to that too 8-)

For now though, I'm coming down from a sugar-high, induced by subway cookies, so I'd better hit the sack. Night all xx

Morning all,

I got another new job!

This one is permanent and way more money than what I'm currently on - I start on Tuesday next week. Initially I wasn't too sure about this role - but the more I've thought about it the more I know it'll be a good challenge and the money is obviously a big plus side for me.

It's nice to be moving away from the contracting side of things. When I first arrived I was assured contracting paid more as you didn't get the perks of being full time. But the more I've worked around and spoken to people I've found that not to be the case. It'll be nice to have some job security and a bit of extra money in the bank to take me forward.

And that's my news...

Enjoy your day/night

Morning.

Well done, Blue. Hope it all works out for you. :)

To everyone else: Monday? Bah!

I have to trek to our garage to collect my broken-but-now-mended motor car. It means a safari by bus, since Best Beloved is not able to drive at the moment, what with his poorly peepers and all. Not really looking forward to that, I have to admit.

And so, onwards and slightly upwards.

*wave*

Have had a very peculiar weekend really, what with the Wench not being around as expected. Have done various bits of sorting etc. and some work on my Dad's website, but other than that have taken it pretty easy. First weekend in a while when I haven't been looking at hi fi!

I did have a mini-clearout / stock take of my CD collection. I own 164 CDs (after some judicious throwing out of crap bought when I was rather younger), which is all well and good. However, having taken stock of what I have on my computers, I have discovered that over time I have lost a good 20 plus CDs which have apparently vanished into the Aether. In addition, I have another 75 that I've bought through what would probably be classified as "grey" means (mostly allofmp3 whilst still going) that probably should be purchased at some point. All told a rather depressingly long (but impeccably tastefully chosen) shopping list. ;)

I'm particularly annoyed because I had at one time the entire Steely Dan set, and can now only find 1 of their albums and I've no idea at all where the hell the remaining 5 albums have gone, especially as I bought them all after having last moved house (the usual culprit for things going missing).

Anyway, enough of my rambling, have a good Monday people.

As if Mondays weren't bad enough I appear to have broken a rib or two after a spectacular bout of coughing. This means I get to spend my morning getting an X ray and (I hope) some strong painkillers. Week is off to a flying start! :?

Morning World,

We had a bout of energy yesterday afternoon/evening which saw most of the living room getting painted. I just have to finish it off today, including enforced fishy water changes for the cichlids because if I don't drain out a load of the water I won't be able to move them

Then....it's on with the bedroom, and the last room to be done *Yay* .....Well, better get on with it.

Afternoon all,

Spending more time awake than asleep now, which I think is a good sign, and I should be able to go back to work on Wednesday.

Must also remember to ask Mrs. V to confirm that she has sent out a cheque for me...

Have a great day everyone.

:)
