Hi everyone. I'd like to ask you for a favour. Could you complete this 8 question questionnaire about celebration cakes? Also, if you have children, I'd be very grateful if you could just ask them to do the survey as I'd like people from a variety of age groups. If you're interested in helping me, the questionnaire starts below.

1.) What is your favourite flavour of cake?
[]Chocolate []Plain sponge []Fruit []Coffee []Lemon []Orange []Vanilla []Other (please state)

2.) Which cake filling do you prefer?
[]Buttercream []Jam []Both If you chose jam or both, which jam flavour do you prefer in cake fillings?

3.)What decoration theme would you look for if you were to purchase a cake tomorrow?
[]Recent film/TV show theme []Personalised message/icing []Sport/hobby theme []Other theme (please state)

4.)If you were to purchase a cake tomorrow, how many people would you want it to serve?

5.) If you were to purchase a cake tomorrow, what would your budget be?

6.)Which of the following factors would influence you most in to buying or not buying a particular cake?
[]Price []Size []Packaging []Flavour/filling []Theme of decoration

7.)How old are you? (Don't answer if you don't want to)

8.)Are you male or female?

Thanks for this and sorry for the very crude representation of my questionnaire - it looks much better with proper formatting and on paper, honest.

Minimum of five

5.) If you were to purchase a cake tomorrow, what would your budget be?
Max £5

6.)Which of the following factors would influence you most in to buying or not buying a particular cake?
Flavour or filling

Maybe have a "Any other comments?" bit.
I'd like to add that I personally only bother buying cakes for birthdays or other special occasions rather than as regular treats. I stay away from the TV-themed cakes since they're usually crap. A generic theme (drawing of cartoon F1 car on cake for boys; ponies etc for girls) if young birthdays, otherwise a victoria sandwich always goes down well.
