Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin 5. Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple 6. Baba O'Riley - The Who 7. Rock 'n' Roll - Led Zeppelin 8. All Right Now - Free 9. Revolution - The Beatles 10. Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones

Granted I would probably have produced a different list on my own, but there's certainly nothing in there that makes me go WTF?!?!
As always, people seem to forget that Deep Purple did more than just Smoke on the Water. Highway Star is a much better track in my opinion.

Yes that thought did cross my mind. I suppose 4,6,7 & 10 would be at risk as far as I'm concerned.

All of which I find incredibly... average. Utterly predictable, and IMHO, rock shouldn't be that predictable. They're your bog standard 'This is rock and/or roll'. Nothing new here. Meh.

I don't think Queen and the Beatles were rock and roll... and no Elvis, Johnny Cash, Ac/DC Metallica?

I too was a little surprised by the lack of AC/DC but I'm not sure Metallica has done anything worthy of top-ten of all time listing. Mark

Aww shucks. *blush* Oh, don't get me wrong, there's lots of Metallica stuff I like, I just wouldn't have any of it in my top-ten (not that I actually know what would be in my top-ten). Mark
