The BNP, have been using Marmite in an online web advert. Unilever aren’t happy.

A spokesman for Marmite told Sky News Online:...."Neither Marmite nor any other Unilever brand are aligned to any political party."

I'd love to see the lawyers argue this case if it went to court, especially considering the current "Hate Party" and "Love Party" campaign Marmite are running at the moment...

The Hate Party
and
The Love Party

Personally, I think these Marmite ads are brilliant, but I suppose it does somewhat weaken their argument against the BNP using their brand. Regardless, it's not something any brand would want to be associated with, is it?

I hate the BNP but I love Marmite. Though I do think that they need to protect their brand. Though if the company make political donations then they cannot claim that they are not linked to any party.
