Peterborough fascist Dave Strickson couldn’t find the necessary ten people to nominate him, so the BNP won’t have a candidate in Peterborough. http://kirkunity.blogspot.com/2010/04/b ... ls-to.html

Oh what a shame. Though would anyone who is not racist want their name attached to the BNP nomination?

Not enough BNP supporters in his constituency, or not enough BNP supporters willing to put their name down?

BNP = Billy No Pals (I should have thought of that when writing the thread title).

I would think that it would have to be in the constituency otherwise they would get them done centrally.

You have to provide 10 (or is it 20?) names willing to support your application to stand as a prospective parliamentary candidate. They all have to be resident in your constituency.

Speaking of the BNP, the leader of BNP Lite, a Mr Cameron, is up against 9 other candidates in his constituency. I would probably die laughing if he didn't get enough votes...

Unless it is a marginal, which is unlikely then who knows? It would be nice.

I doubt that party leaders are contesting marginal seats. Witney, Cameron’s constituency, is very near to Blenheim Palace. It’s a pretty wealthy area.
