But women develop these things called feelings in situations like that making them overly complicated because situations changed. Man still wants meaningless but good sex, woman wants love and all the soppy bits :)

Where did you get that from? you're " What women want" book? Prejudice! There's as many men who want relationship than women and as many women who want sex than men... It's stupid to say girls are the soppy ones...

Not all women are the same, or maybe it´s mroe accurate to say that not everyone is in the same emotional state, depending on past reationships or past emotional experiences, people may just not be in the right ´place´for a deep relationship, it can be more fun/cathartic to just say ´thanks for the memory´. ONe of the best aspects of sex I find is that you really learn a lot about the real person, and not just their public, social avatars. That is unless you´ve found one of those disappointing people who keep the act going even in the bedroom.

It's a comedy show bratty, you know where actors tell jokes written by comedy writers and the audience laugh and are entertained *facepalm*

Frustrating as hell. What's worse is that when "it" does happen, it wasn't worth the effort.

But, the original article concerns those who have chosen a life of celibacy, hoping to replace physical love of another human being, with love of God. For someone who expects some physical fun as part of a relationship, it is a very different thing.

Then again, there is one thing I don't think I'd ever do, and that's go to a prostitute. For me, it is a mutual thing, regardless of whether it's a woman you met in a nightclub or a long-term partner. It's all a waste of time if you don't both enjoy it.

I feel that I want it all, but there has to be something at the end of the courtship. "She" just seems to want all the soppy stuff and doesn't seem to care about it leading to anything else.

I spent until the age of 31 having terrible sex, selfish men and bad self-esteem made it a truly unpleasant experience. I grinned and bore it because I thought that's what you had to do, until eventually I got to the point where I was so anxious it was physically painful and I decided to stop having sex forever. My decision was complicated by the fact that I was married at the time ;)

About a year later I met someone very nice, who was just a friend, but who taught me that sex can be wonderful if you're with the right person and you're both considerate of each other. Since then it's been all change and being able to enjoy a happy, healthy sex life is something I value incredibly. I've been for long periods of time (more than a year) with no sex at all and been perfectly happy, I don't see why if you have a full life with plenty of other things to satisfy you (even religion if that's your choice) you can't be just as happy with no sex, as you can be with it.

I have a friend who is married to a man in a wheelchair, he has no feeling or sensation below his diaphragm and yet they have as happy and fulfilled a relationship as I've ever seen, they've been together for years, had artificial insemination to have children and their secret is apparently that they spend a lot of time just touching and cuddling, holding hands and making each other laugh. There has been no sex at all.

Does that sentence remind anyone else reminded of Niska interrogating Mal in Firefly?
Just asking.

You know Godwin's Law? We should have another one.

"In any forum thread someone will, no matter what the subject, mention Firefly."
