After watching a film (either TV or DVD), does anyone else go and read up about it on wikipedia? I've found things I would have otherwise missed or ignored had I not read such a thing eg deleted scenes/behind the scenes info/ratings/reception etc.

Ok - first few seconds of that clip - the Illuminati don't exist. But ok, let's see where they're going... The pyramid on his shirt... perhaps a reference to the dollar bill? The masonic compasses - Really? If I type the letter 'G' does that make me involved in it? And, of course, the Masons = Illuminati. Oh, again with the pyramid from the US dollar... yawn... The eye of horus - frankly Egyptian mythology lays claim to this in and of itself, stop thinking it's been co-opted by some organisation. Superimposing a pyramid on top of Xerxes... what's that all about? And now I'm bored. Least convincing clip EVAR. Bratty, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. G

but you do realise that the Illuminati really did exist in the 1700's? it was founded by adam weishaupt and he became a mason etc, and the illuminati were apparently "disbanded" but the way the world is, its obvious its what "they" want you to belive etc, so I strongly belive that the illuminated have carried on from the 1700s to this day. theres just far too many obvious clues but the majority live in ignorance and bypass this

The original Illuminati group were all about spreading scientific knowledge, not world domination. At the time, people talking behind closed doors about scientific discovery was a risky thing to do - much like the modern fear of tech like the LHC, except with even more backwards people in power. Or, simply, it's just that other people have come along and co-opted a lot of incredibly common symbols and gone 'OOooh Illuminati!'. There's certainly plenty of honest-to-goodness instances of Masonic design out there in public architecture. However, the Masons aren't the Illuminati.

If you believe that you must be smoking something pretty strong. FFS bratty a lot of those symbols have been around BEFORE Christianity. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egyptian_hieroglyphsGo find me some more symbols that were created before the masons.
