http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/World- ... 1343?f=rssThe 'Dignitas option' should always be there IMO, but the critics will use this like a weapon now...

I would have no problem about being dumped in a lake. Though my personal preference is for my ashes to be spread all over the carpet of some house proud relative.

Has anyone considered that perhaps peoples relatives have requested that they be dropped in the lake as a final resting place somewhere nice looking? Or that the people themselves have expressed a wish to be left there? Why do we assume the clinic has done something naughty? Fair enough if they've been doing it without permission, but just the fact that they're doing it isn't a bad thing IMO.

Yes but I would imagine that this was not disclosed. If asked having my ashes spread over a swiss lake sounds better than being "dumped somewhere"

You may be right, although, whether they are scattered over a lake or dropped in it, the endgame is the same surely? in addition it hardly matters to the person in the urn. I suppose it's just my annoyance that it seems everyone has jumped to the conclusion that the clinic must have done something wrong. I wonder if it would be the same reaction if it wasn't a controversial suicide clinic?

Even so, if they've been told before not to do it, they shouldn't do it.
