In light of Gordon's gaff, these made me chuckle...
Classic gaffes caught on microphone

Today hasn't changed anything about my vote, Labour were never in the frame for me anyway! Still haven't decided between the other two - hoping the last debate tomorrow will make things clearer - I somehow doubt it though.

I accidentally missed the middle debate, plan to listen to tonights though. I doubt it'll change my voting decision, but it'll be interesting in light of the recent assertion that none of the parties have actually spelt out how their economic reforms are going to be paid for.

Got a letter from my Lib Dem rep today, at least his bumph focusses on their policies and not just attacking others, he did attack the new Tory representative, but only in the fact that he has never lived in the area (Londoner) and chose my constituency as his 4th choice to represent.

:D Yes, but I would have listened to it on Radio 4, since we don't have a tv it's the only way 8-)

As a matter of interest, is anybody else of the opnion that the SNP shouldn't have been involved in the debates anywhere other than Scotland?

I am. If they field candidates nationwide then fine, but otherwise they can shut the [LIFTED] up about being represented on UK wide debate.

Why should the rest of the populace be subject to the rantings of someone they cannot vote for (should they actually be mad enough to want to).

Yes and no...

They have something like 9% of the seats, there are other parties with more who deserved a better chance to represent themselves

As a soft southerner I could not vote for them anyway. So why have them in the debate? If there is a separate Scottish and welsh debate for the other territories then yes they should be involved in that.

What he said. Plus, why do Wales and Scotland get their own governments when we don't?

On another subject, I live in an area that's always had Tory safe seats. In my parent's area, the Tories lost to Labour narrowly in 1997 which was a big upset. In the last election, they targeted that area but didn't win it back, again losing narrowly. This election has had Eddie Izzard, Ed Balls and John Prescott all coming down to campaign for labour, but absolutely nothing from the Conservatives.

My area, I was staggered to learn, only beat the Lib Dems by a thousand votes in the last election, which makes it a lot closer than I thought. Again, the Tories have done no campaigning down here. As a result, I've bet a tenner that our incumbent (a shadow cabinet minister) will lose his seat to the Lib Dem candidate.

If the Tories don't get their majority, I feel they can only really blame themselves.

Nope but the same would apply. Same for NI.
