I love dogs. I think they're brilliant, and today I saw quite possibly the best looking dog I've ever seen. I'd love to know what breed he was, but I didn't see his owner to ask. The closest I've found on the internet is this beautiful animal: Does anyone know the breed of this dog, and any that look similar? I think the dog I saw today was either this breed or one very very similar. Perhaps a young one - he had a lighter nose and an ever so slightly darker colour to him.

Thanks Fin - I'm almost certain the dog I saw was a Vizsla. I've always wanted to keep a border collie in the future, but I think that may be challenged now!

Westies aren't snappy yappy dogs!! They are quiet and dignified, a little reserved and have an excellent sense of humour.

A dog isn't an option for us now, but we've had a Yorkshire Terrier and a Springer Spaniel, both great fun. I can't do it now, but I'll upload a pic of my mate's mini Jack Russell later

We had a springer called Poppy, but she died a couple of years ago.

Irish Setters for me (yes, the red ones ). They are truly mental However, we recently got a collie cross from the rescue place near us. He's got a lot of pointer in him and some spaniel and resides close to the bottom in the intelligence stakes This does provide us with some hilarious moments especially when you throw two tennis balls for him to fetch - you can see the thought process as he struggles to choose just one......
