The guy who set up the network was a friend of one of the employees.
They ran for a year with nobody doing IT, doing a windows explorer copy-to-external-disk backup on the XP Pro box file-share for a year, client pcs with no local backup or PST backup of any kind and then called me in.

Had quite a lot to sort out.
