The decoder is in every version of Windows 7, except Starter.

For a free decoder, I'd go with VLC from videolan.org

Not sure if this is the correct place to put this question.

Ok, I installed VLC thinking that it would resolve my DVD woes but not quite.

most dvds will play but not all. Now I don't know why this would be but is any one able to suggest reason why this would be

the dvds that do not play in VLC do play with windvdpro but this is on trial for 30days only.

regards

Alan
