I'm trying to set up a Citrix Metaframe session on a Fujitsu Futro S550 terminal (running eLux). The machine is attached to the same local network, where the server is.
When I go to the Citrix authentication page on our farm (using Firefox) and login manually, it works fine. The launch.ica is downloaded and the session starts.
If I configure a local ICA session (i.e. launch ICA without having to log on through the browser first), it complains that I don't have authority to log onto the server, because I need to be added to the remote users group.
Obviously, I am missing something fundamental in the settings, but as I can only give the server name, application name and user credentials into the ICA configuration, I can't see what is going wrong.
As the users can log in without remote access over the browser currently on their machines in remote locations, I don't want to go fannying around with their AD settings. This has something to do with the ICA settings.
The same is true of my iPhone, the Citrix ICA app doesn't want to connect.

If when you run citrix in the browser, right click and save the launch.ica file and rename it to a text file and view the contents, does that give you any information as to why the local ICA application is not connecting?
