Some people obviously have a strange view on what's important - try getting to work on an iPhone:

Apparently the iPhone is more important than WD40.

Retarded

(I was going to write about how this reflects society and the importance it places on brands and goods but I think the one word somehow summed it up better)

The order is strange in that the WWW is higher than computers yet without computers the WWW would not even be needed or invented.

Computers wouldn't make it into the top 20 for me, the WWW much further down and the iPhone? It isn't that important, in the bigger scheme of things.

They are all useful, but we could easily live fruitful lives without them - we could probably live more productive lives without them!

I honestly think the t'internets is a game changer. The way we can now readily access information is astonishing IMO.

Hyperbole alert! Face of the planet is one thing, but the combustion engine has yet to "change the face" of our solar system, let alone our galaxy, or the universe.

Also, it's a vacuum cleaner - Hoover is a brand! :x

It says they surveyed 4,000 Britons.....which 4,000? By the look of it, the 4,000 residents of Hoxton Square and Soho...

I have known 1 person in two years that owns an iPhone. I've never even seen one working.

I don't think this shows that the people questioned are "retarded" or anything like that - it just shows what we take for granted.

It just shows that we take flushing toilets, washing machines, and light bulbs for granted.

I think it's unfair to brand the 4,000 people who voted in this poll idiots just because they considered the iPhone/WWW/Computers etc before other devices that fulfill our more basic needs.

Yes but they had the wheel at #1!

It just shows how many people actually need their car.
