EXCLUSIVE: I've just learned that Paramount won't be picking up Megan Fox's option on Transformers 3 -- and that it was "ultimately" director Michael Bay's decision. (So he gets his revenge for her remark comparing him to "Hitler".) Right now Bay and writer Ehren Kruger et al are finishing up the script for the threequel and "giving Shia a new love interest makes more sense for the story," an insider tells me. Bay will start casting immediately for the new female co-star. Let's hear your suggestions, readers...

The article's worth a read for the history of why she seems to have been fired (I'll believe it when I see it, though they're bringing in some actual acting talent for this one), and Finke is as reliable as these things get.

I seriously doubt Jonah Hex will do much business, and the girl can't act, so... way to mess up a great shot in life! :P

I hope this doesn't affect her hotness though

No need to cast they can get the crew to do another CGI actress. Though maybe they can get this one to act?

If Bay is serious about inflicting another Transformers film on the world (and what's the betting that it'll be Transformers 3D?) then perhaps he ought to take the opportunity to get rid of Shia LaBeouf too.

Bitterness everywhere! Nice.

Bay doesn't like 3D, so you're good there. The kid happens to be an up and comer, so leave him be (and go watch Indy 4 and Disturbia).

Finally, there's still hope for Fox, but only if she expands her portfolio. I'm reserving judgement.....

The studios seem to do, though. If it came down to it I think I know who the victor would be in a clash between studio and director.

I'd actually be interested in the technical side of filming one of Bay's movies in 3D

I've no problem with Shia LaBeouf, the guy can act, but I haven't been keen on his roles :(

I'm glad Megan wont be in it tbh. I didnt see much point in her role in the second. In fact I'd be happy if they ditched earth and went to cybertron for a war.

I don't think we're there, just yet. Studios are keen on making money. If he can do it without, he's good. Try telling Chris Nolan he's gotta film in 3D ;)

Once the film is made then it's out of the hands of the director and the studio can do what it wants with it, including 3D-ification.

They're talking about (scroll over for potential spoiler) a full-on robot scrap on Earth with human casualties.

Granted, but that's a whole different thing. 3D-ification shouldn't in theory make money, if the people here are any indication of the rest of the market.

I'll pay to see a genuinely well made 3D movie. I'm not interested in post-produced [LIFTED].

Like I say, his roles aren't the best (nor his scripts) ;)

I'm waiting for them all to be remade by Christopher Nolan in a gritty, uncompromising way...:)

Seriously, how about Scarlett Johansson instead?!
