I go to Specsavers! I'd consider myself lucky to get a pair for less than £125 with polarised lenses!! You lot don't know you're born

LOL! +1 I have a screwed up astigmatic prescription so polarising, ultra light lenses cost me over £90. That's just for the actual lenses. I then have to buy the frames on top of that.

I get my sunglasses for £1 extra when i buy prescription glasses. They're not that trendy, but still do the job And then i lose the £500 prescription glasses and get pissed off

Well considering I don't have dodgy vision (YET) the plan was to get ones I could use interchangeable lenses for and then change the lenses when I needed to, bt the cost was ineffective. Neither site is getting my money again after this faff on, the sunglasses that are now £105 + £4 del (say £110) with £50 makes then £60, and I paid £17.50 for the voucher so the total cost is £77.50ish Amazon have a trusted 3rd party selling them for £78 inc postage. I know who I would rather trust

Personally, I'd get a crap pair if I didn't have to have prescription ones. Can't bear paying over the odds for unnecessary stuff. Not to mention, most people abuse them.

My current pair of Animal sunglasses have lasted me about 8 years, but they are literally falling apart now for the bridge/arms(or whatever the fold out bits are called) and the rubber is just degrading. The lens also lets in a lot of light and the lenses aren't polarised so they aren't great for driving in sunny weather

When I used to cycle I used a couple of pairs of wraparound Oakleys which were perfect for cycling. I am still torn between some Ray Ban Aviators or Oakley. I will have a look in the opticians at the weekend and see which I prefer. I will get them next week.

Thermonuclear protection. It's the only way to be sure.

I usually go for that kind of style. I like RayBans - I’m on my second pair, the first started to fall apart because I used them so much. I’m now on prescription lenses, so the frames will have to withstand a few changes. There are these too. http://www.sunglasses-shop.co.uk/ray-ba ... n-3194.asp

Well they fixed the prices so I'm went for the Fives, looked at the half jacket but don't really like the style, same with the five squared, same with some Maui Jims and Ray Bans, just couldn't find a style I liked Other thing was the adjusting ones didnt seem to be polarised so didn't for for those Why? I need a new set that is polarised for driving and general use, my current set wont last much longer I should save my money and get a pair of poor fitting glasses that wont last as long and will irritate me when driving? Don't follow the logic

There's no logic. I'm not saying get ill-fitting poorly made glasses. But just get what you need - not what the manufacturers want you to spend on the "trendiest" pair.
